The Strange Death of Europe

The Strange Death of Europe

Douglas Murray

Anyone that says this book is 100% correct is an idiot. Anyone that says this book is 100% incorrect is also an idiot.

I personally think it's more incorrect than correct at times, the alarmist title and fearmonger's tone throughout the book is too much.

Lack of cultural integration can cause issues in certain areas of society and if we're not allowed to talk about these issues, the situation can never improve. Everyone was a migrant at some point, we need to remember that.

Contains a lot of generalisation, and considering the European Migrant crisis was a difficult and complicated time, it isn't fair to lump all 'immigration' into this group of 'not european', because people will have moved to Europe prior to the crisis and integrated well.

We should take our share of refugees and help people where we can. A fair point raised was we should look at helping/supporting anyone in and around their homes, current Goverment cutting the foreign aid budget is ludicrous.

If there is a problem with migration into European & liberal countries then we as a society should be able to have a respectful but frank conversation, out in the open to see if there are areas that need improving.
