I've watched Akala's videos on YouTube of him speaking about race & class in Britain before and this book was a deeper dive in the problems he raises in those videos. Akala does a great job of going over the history of racism in the UK, the Windrush Generation and how racism isn't always the stereotypical stuff you imagine but the subtle behaviours that people change when around people of a different race. The things he had to endure throughout school was awful to read, essential reading for anyone living in Britain.
